The new version of Topological PCB Router TopoR V4.1.85.16 is now available.
The main changes include:
- Complete implementation of copper area support (cutting out wires and pads that belong to different nets, thermals, removal of unconnected islands and islands that have a smaller area than specified, selecting the type of hatching).
- The number of DRC violations has been reduced dramatically by considering the sizes of vias during autorouting.
- Two types of single-layer routing.
New manual editing features:
- Creation and editing of board outlines.
- Support for new keepout and copper area shapes: polylines, arcs, rectangles, and circles (previously, only filled polygons were available).
- Grid snapping for wires and primitives.
- Angle snapping for wires and primitives in 45-degree steps.
- Component rotation using the spacebar.
More:
- Routing rules are saved for each individual document file (*.fsx).
- TopoR.exe can take the name of an external *.pcb or project (*.fsr) file as a command line argument.
- You can now use a prototype file when exporting to PCAD.
- Display of editable objects has been improved.
- The state of the search panel does not change when you switch modes.
- Elements are sorted better in the search panel.
- The program remembers the settings panel you opened last.
- Deleting the last wire incident to a fixed via does not remove the via.
